Composition in black and white. Contour lines. It depicts men working in rubber plantation. In the foreground, on the left, tapper standing back to back, looking up in front of the trunk of a tree. He's on the right arm raised holding in his hand a long-handled ax toward the trunk of the tree for latex extraction. Two other workers in this same attitude is repeated in the background and bottom, diagonally from the left to the right and to the bottom. In front of the composition, are seen three pellets already cooked rubber; We on the left a tuft of vegetation. Adjacent to the first employee standing on the right, a dog lying in profile to the left and to the side, other rubber pellets. In the background, on the left, a worker standing in profile to the left, carrying pellet in the head. In the center a wide base and a narrow mouth oven, in which a tapper which is on the right, kitchen latex on the tip of a rod. The worker is facing, with the legs apart and secure with both hands the rod laying on the direction of the oven. On the floor between the legs of the tapper, sees a hatchet. Across the bottom, rubber trees. On the floor, stacked and tied sticks and plant clumps.
