Description
Composition in blue tones, black, green, earthy, rose and gray. Dashed parallel and shaded. It depicts Sancho Panza hanging from tree, being noticed by Don Quixote, his donkey and a boar. In the foreground, on the left, rock on the ground, on the right donkey standing in profile to the right, with the on the right front paw raised, looking toward Sancho Panza which is in the background, in the center of the composition. He's stuck in the back of the shirt to a tree branch, has the belly down, the head is turned slightly to the left and face reveals startled expression. His on the right arm is extended forward with the on the left hand flat and folded back, holding the shirt is stuck in the tree. In the background, to the left, facing boar see, Don Quixote standing, also from the front, holding in his on the right hand a spear vertically and attached shield on the left arm; deeper, man figure also facing. Both the boar as Don Quixote and the man look toward Sancho Panza. Background in shades of blue dotted with green areas vertically suggesting tree trunks.
