The group consists of four adults and four children standing side by side and in the same level. From the left to the right we see: woman turned slightly to the right with left hand holding a bundle on the head, right arm holding a squalid, naked child; her left leg is slightly bent. To his left, another woman holding with her right hand a bundle on the head with her left hand, a child looking in the direction of her face; at her side, a little forward, man with straw hat on his head holding with his right hand a gourd by the neck, the the left arm is horizontal holding the left shoulder of an old man who is by his side, seeming to be helping this figure to standy; the old man has his body slightly bent forward and holds with his right hand a tall stick, the left arm is bent back holding in hand a bundle on his back; beside him, a boy naked from the waist down, with very prominent belly, his right hand holding the old man's; to his side and a little further back, girl looking at the old man. All figures have defined facial features, wear white and gray clothing and are barefoot. Background with line marking the horizon; floor represented in orange and sky represented by strong shades of green passing to yellow at the top, in the upper right circle representing the sun.
