Description
Composition in the earthy, ochre, white, green tones. Color areas. It depicts indigenous, in a forest, cutting down trees of Pau-Brazil. In the foreground, on the left, a indigenous is standing, facing forward, wearing a thong, his legs spread, his right arm bent in front of the body and his left arm raised; his hands hold an ax and it seems he is just about to hit the tree to his right, which already has the trunk base partially cut; on the right there is a cut tree trunk with an ax cable shoved into it. In the background, to the right of center, a indigenous is standing in profile to the left, upper body leaning forward, his arms in the motion of picking up the cut tree truck placed horizontally between his legs. On the third level, on the right, two indigenous standing, one ahead of the other, the one further back carrying a tree trunk over his left shoulder, both wear thongs. In the background, forest, part of the tree trunks arranged symmetrically and two working indigenous.
