Description
Composition in tones earthy, ochre, gray, red, green, black and white. Areas of color and shading. It depicts indigenous in the forest, felling trees of Pau-Brazil. In the foreground, on the left, Indian standing front with legs apart and arms raised to the right, holding an ax with both hands in an attitude of giving a cut in the tree that is on your on the right already with the base of trunk cut portion. On the right, tree trunk cut and ax on the floor on the left. In the background, on the right of center, Indian standing, with the body leaning profile to the left, your arms down as if to catch the trunk lying on the ground, horizontally, between his legs. On the third level, on the right, two indigenous standing, in front, one behind the other and carry the same tree trunk on the left shoulder. Further back, an Indian standing in the same attitude of the first Indian, cutting tree. These indigenous wear swimwear and are bare and have no defined facial features. Further down, on the left, less defined Indian, facing right, leaning on the trunk that is between her legs. Some cut trunks, scattered all over the floor. Throughout the composition, trees disposed symmetrically, of which only see the trunks and are more numerous for background.
