Description
Composition in black and white. Few parallel straight lines and shading. Kneeling figure of a mulatto, on his back, feet stuck in torture trunk, taking up more than half the height of the composition. He has curly hair, on the right arm and leg represented as dark and on the left hand and legs with light. At the upper left corner, crouching boy forward. On the right vertical rectangle light that falls into the mulatto body height, sealing of light-dark contrast. In the background, on the left, boy sitting front and jagged lines suggesting vegetation. Horizontal traces parallels between the legs of the mulatto and vertical in the lower on the left corner, balance with shading representing the ground.
