Description
Composition in black and white. Might and shaded contour lines. Line of men occupying the central part of the support. On the left, seated woman from the front, dressed in Bahia, with board mounted in front of him, suggesting to have items upon. From the left to the right, first row of men formed side by side, looking across at a man standing on a box on the left. The first man holds a hat, everyone has the face more marked shading, highlighting the remainder of the composition, which has light strokes. The row is diagonally from the left to the right, they are facing a man who is in profile to the left, with gestures as if speaking to men. There is a row of men behind, less linear and figures have less delineated facial features. Further down, on the left, a figure tied to a trunk receiving lashes. Plain background.
