Description

Composition depicting bandeirantes and indigenous people in the middle of a forest. The entire composition is geometrically structured with lighter and larger colored areas in the foreground. From left to right, we see: a figure of a bandeirante, standing facing forward, legs apart, with a suggested hat and arms at his sides, holding a revolver in his right hand; in the center, three bandeirantes, two with their backs turned and one facing forward, all standing and wearing wide-brimmed hats. The one on the left has his left arm raised and his right arm bent as if he were holding his face; the one in the center has his arms at his sides and holds an axe in his right hand; and the one on the right, facing forward, has the suggested facial features, looks in the direction of the first two, and holds a rifle in his left hand.
