Title
Wedding in the Country
Description
Composition in blue, earthy, ochre, black, yellow, rose, red, green, gray and white tones. Rough and smooth texture, some marked brushstrokes. Engaged couple followed by wedding party, outdoors, and in the background the Church of Saint Anthony in the Brodowski Square and round moon or sun near the horizon. In the foreground, center, engaged couple arm in arm, woman to the left and man to the right. Both have facial features only indicated by strokes in light blue and skin tone represented in almost black earthy. Bride wears a headscarf over her hair, medium length dress in shades of rose, yellow and white, with tiny blue dots. In the right hands, bouquet of colorful flowers. She seems to wear silk stockings in gray tone. Groom wears hat, blue suit with yellow and white accents, white shirt dotted of black and red and yellow tie. The hands of the bride and groom are disproportionately large and little worked. On the ground, to the right of the bride, dog lying and blue chest with black lines. To the left of the groom, small shrub. In the background, center, wedding procession led by two black women, side by side, without represented facial features, wearing a dress in shades of rose. The one on the right has red bow on her head. Both are half-hidden by the couple in front and behind the group are ten poorly-defined figures. Among these, a man standing wearing dark blue suit and holding open black umbrella over his head. On the left, row of pegs in the right diagonal to the left toward the bottom. Near the poles, black woman in profile to the right. To the right, two profiled women to the left and small elevation. On the third level on the right there is the suggestion of a bush and Church of Saint Anthony. In the background, horizon, sky in gradiente blue and sun or moon in light shade.
